Wow it is soooo good to back!!

We have experienced some serious downtime due to our hosts having major server issues. It was a bit of touch and go this week, But we are back up and running. As good as new!!

April 2010 Scraplift with a Twist Challenge

I cant belive it's April already where is the year going, and to think it is supost to be British Summertime we have snow Brrrrrrrr lets hope the weather picks up soon, there were some great layouts last month I hope you will play along this month.

Here is this month challenge.

This month i choose a nice summery layout by JKX3 use the layout as a guide but flip it, turn it, alter it in some way. I cant wait to see what you come up with.

Friday Night Designer Chat's this is a special meet and greet with our fabulous designers where you can get to know them better, ask them uncomfortable questions, pester them for freebies and have an all round enjoyable time. This will be starting on the 5th of March

This alternates every 2nd Friday with the Speed Scrap hosted again by Stinky (Sande of SandEz Creationz) and the Lizard (Liz of Lizard Dau Designs). There will be a thread in the forums to indicate the dates and which designers will be our guest as well as which weeks the Speed Scrap is to be scheduled.

And if thats enough there is MORE .......

March brings us a NEW Layout Contest called I Can't Believe You Scrapped That!! Think about the Funniest Home Videos but with Digital Scrapbooking, and you have the idea for this contest.

The contest is starting on March the 17th through to April the 17th. I cannot give you any more details until things are finalised but guys go and grab all those funnneee shots ready for the contest cause it is going to be an absolute blast!!! Q. How long have you been designing and how did you get into it?
A.I am from the UK. I am a divorced mu to two and a fur baby. I first started Digital Scrapbooking around 8 years ago. I had been in the PSP tag and tube arena on AOL for a few years and was fed up with all the red tape connected to it, so I went looking for something else and found digital scrapbookiing and the rest they say is history. LOL. I started out with layouts and then quickly moved onto designing page kits which I have now been doing for around 6 years. So as someone called me the other day seasoned in this area. LOL
Q. What other crafts do you do?

A. I have just started designing Digital Stamps for Cards and hope to actually make some soon.

Q. Do you have any personal CT? Please tell us who and how much you appreciate their work?

A. I don't have CT. I usually create my own, or share in the fabulous layouts fromt the CT here at K-Joi.

Q. The CT here at K_Joi are fabulous!! Is there any particular page you like and who did it?
A. There are so many great layouts in my gallery but this one really jumped out at me.

Q. What is your favourite TV Show?
A. I am a huge Crime Show fan. I love all the CSI Shows, Cold Case, Law and Order etc But my all time fave is CSI MIami- Horatio Rocks!!

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?

A. Spare Time!!! What is that??? LOL I don't have a great deal of that. I am usually running around after the kids, looking for a job (I was made redundant in June) or trying to clean up. LOL But when I do have any spare time I am usually at the PC either creating or doing some layouts.

Q. If you could name one thing you could not do with out when designing what would it be?

A. Filters Unlimited. I think it is soo useful to have it or the Machine Wash Filter.

Q. What is it that you like about K-Joi?

A. What is there not to love? Kara rocks!! I have known her for many years now and I love everything about her store. I used to spread myself thinly across four stores but these days I am Exclusive to K-Joi Studios and find it so much easier. The gang here are awesome!!

Q. Is there anything we can do to make things better here for you?

A. Do all the uploading and advertising and posting for me!! ROFL No only joking I cannot think of anything off the top of my head.

Q. Tell us a little about you and your family?

A. We live on the outskirts of Leeds West Yorkshire UK in an old mining area. Coal was big around here before all the pits shut. I divorced 9 years ago and now live with my son who is 18 this year and daughter who will be 13. We also have a fur baby who will be 9 this year. My son is at College Studying IT and my daughter is in the 2nd year of High School. I am looking for work as I said before and hopefully this recession won't last much longer and something will come along soon.

Q. Do you have any pets? If so what are they and what are their names?

A. One a cat named Holly.

Q.Describe your style and where do you get your inspiration?

A. Not sure I have a style and I usually start with a colour sampler or a photo and the kit just grows from that.

I went to the theatre today with my mum it was such a treat, I absolutly adore the theatre, we saw Cole Porters Anything Goes and i have been singing it all evening lol
